Quick answers

How does RunNerd get my run data?

Apple Watch users connect directly through Apple Health (HealthKit) — the smoothest setup. Runners on Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, or other devices can connect through our Intervals.icu integration, which pulls your workouts and passes them through to RunNerd. See /compatibility for supported devices and setup steps.

I have an Apple Watch but my run didn’t show up.

End the workout on your watch and wait 1–2 minutes for it to sync to your iPhone’s Health app. Open RunNerd and pull down to refresh on the Today tab.

If it still doesn’t appear, check iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → RunNerd and make sure Workouts and Route are enabled.

The coach analysis hasn’t arrived for my latest run.

Analysis is generated server-side and usually lands within 1–3 minutes of the run finishing sync. You’ll get a push notification when it’s ready. If it’s been longer than 10 minutes, pull to refresh on the Today tab. If the run is still missing analysis after that, email us with the run date and we’ll investigate.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Profile tab → scroll to the ACCOUNT section → tap Delete my account. This starts a 30-day soft-delete; within that window you can email hello@runnerd.ai to restore your account. After 30 days, all of your data is permanently removed from our servers.

How do I revoke Apple Health access?

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → RunNerd. You can turn off individual categories (Workouts, Heart Rate, Route, etc.) or all access. Without HealthKit access RunNerd can’t read new runs, but your existing data on our servers is preserved until you delete your account.

How is my data used?

See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown. Short version: HealthKit data is used only to generate your coaching content. We don’t sell or share it. Data that comes in through Intervals.icu or other bridge apps is handled the same way — only used to generate coaching content, tied to your user ID, and never shared beyond the app experience. AI processing happens at Anthropic Claude (analysis) and OpenAI (text-to-speech audio); neither retains your data for training. Weather data comes from Apple WeatherKit.
